First of all, I know some of you want to get the 'Dennis' CD/book project. It's now on sale, so if you want it or want to see more about it, go here.
We started rehearsals for the Paris shows yesterday. (See: photos) We're concentrating on 'Une Belle Enfant Blonde' because 'I Apologize' is in its definitive form, and 'UBEB' is still evolving, and we'd like to get it into a final form by the premiere next week. It's a strange piece -- more stately and subversively reserved than 'I Apologize,' which is a wilder, noisier work. 'IA' is very much informed by the meeting of Pita's work and mine, whereas 'UBEB' is more informed by the involvement of Catherine Robbe-Grlllet and the 'Nouveau Roman' aesthetic that her sensibility embodies. To get it just right requires a lot of fiddling, and I think we're close to nailing down it, but it'll be a hard working week for us, I think. So that and the good visa news was the story yesterday. Oh, and I met Damon and Naomi (i.e. of Galaxie 500/Damon and Naomi fame), whose music some of you probably know. They're in Paris writing their new album, and are awesome people, I must say. They also run a great independent press, Exact Change, which I highly recommend you check out. They publish Denton Welch, Raymond Roussell and other great experimental authors. So it was a pretty good day. And yours?

Yesterday I kind of freaked out about living in London...being lonely, poverty stricken etc etc but today feels awesome already. Congrats on the Visa stuff.
I've been reading 'Henry and June' by Anais Nin and i think it's fucking beautiful...It's the same raw feeling I get from Kathy Acker..is that weird/wrong?
I'm frequenting internet cafes these days cos no one in the pub I live in has the internet. Boo!
Also I badly want a copy of the 'Dennis' project but I can't afford one right now (my finances are shocking) is there anyway of reserving one?
From what I read of the ash gray proclamation I thought it might turn into one of my favourite pieces of yours.
Sorry no i'm overloading but is there anyway the theatre pieces might come to London? That would be so so so so so cool.
ps. Also a quick question has anyone read 'Road to los angeles' by Fante?
Dear Mistah Cooper,
if we order the cd/story package, is there anyway you could sign it? or write a silly message on it?
yours,
laura
